Microneedle Patches

Microneedle patches is a novel drug delivery system. These needles can pass through human skin and effectively deliver the drug, but not long enough to contact the nerve system so there is no painful feelings for patients. The invention is particularly suitable for children and elderly patients. It can avoid physical and psychological impact on children due to pain and fear caused by traditional injections. It is suitable for the elderly with memory loss problems, causing them to forget to take doses regularly, resulting in poor therapeutic efficacy and even failure.

WCC has developed an effective coating method to produce microneedle patches. The FDA-approved polymer materials are used to make microneedles. A 2x2 cm2 patch can be produced in the lab, mass production is underway for a cosmetic product.  WCC will also cooperate with medical companies to add necessary  drugs or vaccines into microneedle patches for developing new products.
